What is nepalnews.live?

nepalnews.live is an independent news aggregator built for Nepali readers. It collects the latest headlines from trusted Nepali and international news sources and presents them in one clean, fast, and easy-to-read interface — updated automatically every 15 minutes.

We do not write, edit or commission any news. Every article you see comes from an established publisher. We simply bring them together so you don't have to visit a dozen websites to stay informed.

How it works

nepalnews.live works in three steps:

  • Collect — Every 15 minutes, the site reads the publicly available RSS feeds of major Nepali news outlets: Kathmandu Post, Onlinekhabar, myRepublica, Setopati, Nagarik News, Ratopati, Ukaalo, Ukeraa, and BBC Nepali, among others.
  • Classify — A keyword-based algorithm automatically sorts each article into a section: Politics, Business, Sports, Technology, World, Entertainment, or Health. No human editor is involved in this process.
  • Display — Articles are shown with their headline, a short excerpt, and a thumbnail as provided by the publisher's feed. Clicking any article takes you directly to the original source. We never reproduce full articles.

When a section has fewer than 10 articles from Nepali sources, we supplement with BBC World and Reuters to ensure every category feels complete. These international articles are clearly marked with an Intl label so you always know the source.

Audio & Video

The Audio & Video section aggregates:

  • Podcasts — The latest 3 episodes from Sushant Pradhan Podcast, On Air with Sanjay Silwal Gupta, Boju Bajai, and The Doers Nepal. Episodes link directly to the podcast on YouTube or the hosting platform.
  • Television — Recent video clips from NTV Nepal, Kantipur TV, Image Channel, Onlinekhabar Espresso, and Setopati Multimedia, sourced from their YouTube channels.

Who built this?

nepalnews.live is an independent project built by a Nepali developer. It is not affiliated with, funded by, or editorially connected to any of the news publishers it aggregates. No publisher can pay to be featured, ranked higher, or removed from the site.

All content rights remain with the original publishers. If you are a publisher and wish to opt out, please contact us and we will remove your feed within 48 hours.

Languages

The interface is available in both English and Nepali (नेपाली). Toggle between languages using the button in the sidebar or top bar. Article content is always in the language of the original publisher.
