Editorial Policy

Last updated: 13 April 2026

We are an aggregator, not a publisher

nepalnews.live does not produce, commission, write or edit news articles. We are a technology service that automatically collects and organises publicly available news links from established Nepali and international news outlets.

All editorial decisions — what to report, how to frame it, what sources to use — are made entirely by the original publishers. We have no influence over that content.

How articles are selected

Articles appear on nepalnews.live through two automatic processes:

  • RSS feeds — we subscribe to the official RSS feeds that publishers make publicly available. Any article the publisher includes in their feed may appear on our site.
  • Category classification — a keyword-based algorithm automatically assigns each article to a section (Politics, Business, Sports, etc.) based on its title and summary. This process is not editorial; it is technical.

No human editor selects, promotes or suppresses individual articles on nepalnews.live. The ordering reflects recency — newest articles appear first.

Sources we aggregate

Our primary sources are established Nepali news outlets including Kathmandu Post, Onlinekhabar, myRepublica, Setopati, Nagarik News, Ratopati, Ukalo News, Ukera News and BBC Nepali. When a category has fewer than 10 articles from Nepali sources, we supplement with BBC World and Reuters to ensure sufficient coverage.

We do not aggregate tabloids, unverified social media content or sites known to publish misinformation. However, we cannot vouch for every individual article published by any outlet.

No editorial endorsement

The appearance of any article on nepalnews.live does not constitute endorsement of its content, the views expressed, or the publishing outlet by nepalnews.live or its operators. We are a neutral aggregation service.

Copyright and content ownership

All article text, headlines, images and associated content displayed on this site belong to the respective publishers. We display only the headline, a short excerpt and thumbnail as provided in the RSS feed — we never reproduce full articles.

Publishers who wish to opt out may contact us at protfolio.amit@gmail.com. We will remove their feed within 48 hours of a valid request.

Corrections and takedowns

If a publisher has corrected or retracted an article, our feed will reflect the updated version at the next refresh (every 15 minutes). We do not have the ability to correct the underlying content — that must be done by the publisher.

For urgent takedown requests (e.g. court orders, privacy violations), contact protfolio.amit@gmail.com. We will act on valid legal requests as quickly as possible.

Transparency

nepalnews.live is independently operated with no funding from, or commercial relationship with, any of the news outlets we aggregate. We receive no payment for featuring any source, and no source can pay to be included or excluded.

If this changes in future (e.g. we accept advertising or sponsorship), we will update this policy and disclose it clearly on the site.
